At M21Legal, we implement rigorous security protocols at all stages of the translation process, from file receipt through to final delivery and secure storage.

Non-disclosure agreements (NDA)

The translators, reviewers and post-editors we work with sign a confidentiality agreement with M21Global that covers all projects, before they receive their first one. Our in-house staff are bound by the same duty of confidentiality. If the client sends us their own confidentiality agreement, we sign it before we receive the files.

Secure technological infrastructure

We use secure servers with data encryption, redundant backups and restricted access protocols. All file transfers are carried out via encrypted channels, ensuring that information is never exposed to unauthorised third parties.

Access control

Access to client documents is restricted exclusively to the professionals assigned to each project. We implement minimum privilege principles, where each collaborator accesses only the information strictly necessary to perform their function.

Data protection (GDPR)

M21Legal fully complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We implement clear data retention and deletion policies, ensuring that client information is handled in compliance with European data protection legislation.

Retention and deletion of files

We keep the files of each project so that we can respond to complaints and keep later translations for the same client consistent. At the client's request, made in writing at any time, we delete the files of a completed project from our production systems and confirm the deletion in writing.

We maintain detailed records of all actions taken on each project, enabling full traceability when required.
